Lutronic Presents Powerful Measuring Cell at the Motek Trade Fair in Stuttgart
Schalksmühle, 28.09.2023. Since its foundation in 2016, Lutronic has been a sister company of the Lumberg Group, which operates worldwide with 1,250 employees. Lutronic positions itself as a specialist in connectivity and special machine construction for individual process needs in automation.
Just in 2018, Lutronic diversified into the mechanical engineering business segment, which also targets the automation industry: Developed and manufactured in the mechanical engineering division of the Lumberg Group, Lutronic takes over the exclusive marketing of this know-how from now around 200 specialists.
The trade show in Stuttgart, in which Lutronic is participating for the fifth time, has emerged as the ideal platform for presenting new solutions, as it brings together a knowledgeable audience of buyers. This year, Lutronic will present a centrifuge and a spiral vibratory feeder from its product range of feeding systems for bulk materials. Lutronic’s in-depth know-how here lies above all in the customized tailoring of the hopper, which has to pass on the product to be sorted in the correct position and at the correct speed. Lutronic demonstrates this with running machines at booth 5301 in hall 5.
However, the highlight this year in the product area of inline inspection systems is a new measuring cell with inline profile projectors, the supreme discipline among optical inspection systems. The mechanical engineering design is used for 100-percent quality assurance during series production by means of linear, in-line measurements. The Lutronic measuring cell relies on the high-quality optical measuring technology of the Japanese manufacturer Keyence. In this case, the measuring cell, which has been specially designed for a particular customer, measures 2,000 parts per minute per track, or in other words 17 meters of strip length per minute, and in the process measures eleven different features. The non-contact measuring system for the production line is suitable, for example, for measuring distance, thickness, diameter, positions, roundness, profile, vibration, and so on. The number of cameras and the customer-specific measuring tasks can be freely defined in the Lutronic measuring cell with its exceptionally intuitive operation.
